Billy Dawson Obituary
Billy was born in Anderson, SC. He joined the Armed Forces of the United States of America at an early age and received an Honorable Discharge from the Army on February 6, 1958, where he later joined the Army Reserve unit. He retired from Clark Schwabel after 30 plus years of service.
Billy is survived by his wife Dorothy Miller Dawson of Anderson, SC; son, Billy Eric (Cheon) Dawson of Atlanta GA; daughters, Wilma Groves, Sandra Dawson, and Doretha Dawson all of Anderson, SC.
5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 7 great great-grandchildren.
Billy attended Reed Street High School where he was a dedicated football player. He was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church where he was an active member of the Pulpit Aid Ministry until his health started to decline.
Billy was a member of the VFW POST 6089 as he received Special Recognition for his Contributions and Dedicated Services in 2024.
Family will be receiving visitors at 3346 Centerville Road, Anderson, SC, 29625.
