Billy Grimes Obituary
Billy Grimes was born on March 31, 1936 in the Hardins Creek Community in Tennessee, the son of the late William A. and Julia Ann Brashier Grimes.
On March 25, 1989, he was united in marriage to Dianne Meeks, who survives.
Prior to his retirement, Billy worked as a pipefitter and in maintenance at Tennessee River Pulp and Paper. He loved working on the farm, gardening, and being outdoors in general. Most of all, he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Billy Grimes departed this life on November 8, 2024 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 88 years, 7 months, and 8 days.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Dianne Grimes; daughter, Cheryl Basham and her husband Mickey; son, Brent Grimes (Laikin); granddaughter, Sydne Grimes; brother, Robert Grimes; and sister, Betty Bryant.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Darryl Worley Cancer Treatment Center.
