Billy Joe Haskins, a loving individual known for his passion for cooking, passed away peacefully at his home on December 22, 2023. He was born in Fate, Texas, on March 27, 1940. Billy was a cherished brother to eight siblings and is survived by his sister Sandra Thomas, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Billy's life will be celebrated through two special events. The first event, a visitation, will take place on January 12, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM at the Golden Gate Funeral Home and A Crematory located at 4155 S R. L. Thornton Fwy in Dallas, TX 75224. This will be an opportunity for family and friends to come together and pay their respects.
The second event, a Celebration of Life service, will be held on January 13, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location mentioned earlier. During this time, loved ones will gather to commemorate Billy's life and share fond memories of him.
Billy Joe Haskins formed many lasting memories with his loved ones throughout the years. His love for cooking brought joy to those around him and created delicious meals that brought families together. Billy's culinary talents were often the centerpiece of family gatherings.
Billy retired many years ago but the one thing that was very important for him to do all the time was to hang out at his friend mechanic shop.
As we bid farewell to Billy Joe Haskins, let us remember the legacy he leaves behind - one that is filled with love and cherished memories. May his soul find eternal peace as we celebrate the life of this remarkable individual who will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
