Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bodkin Funeral Home - Milan on Mar. 19, 2026.
Billy Henry Hickerson, a man of unwavering faith and dedication to his family and community, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2026, at NHC Milan. Born on January 1, 1933, Billy's life was a testament to the strength and compassion that he carried with him through his 93 years.

Billy was predeceased by his loving parents, Ulcie and Myrtle Hickerson, his beloved wife, Mary Hickerson, and his cherished daughter, Theresa Ellen Hickerson Easley. He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion in his son-in-law, Wayne Easley of Milan, and his grandsons, Daniel Easley (Heather) of Green Brier, TN, and William Easley (Ashley) of Fayetteville, AR, who will carry forward the values and lessons he imparted. He also leaves behind his best life-long friend, Eldon Kent of the Gibson Wells area.

A self-employed home builder, Billy's craftsmanship and attention to detail were the hallmarks of his career. His work not only provided shelter but also created homes filled with warmth and character for numerous families. His professional life was paralleled by his spiritual journey as an ordained minister. Billy pastored several churches over the years, touching the lives of many with his heartfelt sermons and unwavering support for his congregants.

As we remember Billy, we celebrate a life well-lived, marked by kindness, integrity, and a deep-seated belief in the goodness of people. His was a life that inspired others to strive for better, to hold their loved ones close, and to face each day with hope and gratitude.

Billy Henry Hickerson's journey on earth may have come to a close, but his spirit and the memories he created will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. As we bid farewell to this remarkable man, we take comfort in the knowledge that his legacy will endure through the lives of his family and the many individuals he influenced throughout his rich and fulfilling life.
