Billy Howard

Billy Howard, a cherished resident of Onslow County, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2025, at the age of 93. Born on November 15, 1932, in Richlands, North Carolina, Billy lived a life marked by kindness, generosity, and an unwavering calmness that endeared him to all who knew him.

Billy was a man of many talents and interests. He was the proud owner of Howard Oil Co., where he dedicated much of his professional life. His career also included roles as a realtor and a courier for North Carolina's State Courier Mail. Beyond his work, Billy had a deep passion for politics, reading, and traveling, which took him to far-off places such as China, England, France, and Scotland.

He was a devoted husband to his late wife, Euneva Howard, with whom he shared a love-filled home. Billy's gentle nature and easy-going demeanor made him a great husband and father, creating an environment where warmth and understanding thrived.

Billy is preceded in death by his parents, J. C. Howard and Lena Howard Marshburn; his beloved wife, Euneva Howard; his brother, Kemp Howard; and his sisters, Mavis Beddard and Mary Elizabeth Howard.

He leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory: his daughters, Ashley Foy and her husband Tracy, and Lesley Johnson and her husband Shane; his grandchildren, Curtis, Phillip, Spencer, Sammy, Jordan and Trent; and six great-grandchildren. His daughters will deeply miss his presence and the joy he brought into their lives.

Billy Howard's legacy is one of kindness and generosity, a testament to a life well-lived. He will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
