Billy Jack Jackson was born on June 14, 1973, in
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Billy was raised by his mother Jackie and her first husband, Daryl Studdard. Billy was presumed to have passed away on March 5, 2026, in
Lexington, Oklahoma.
As the first grandchild in the family, Billy was lovingly spoiled and often jokingly referred to as "rotten." He grew up surrounded by a close-knit family of aunts, uncles, and later a large group of cousins who shared in countless memories together. Billy attended McLoud and Pernell schools during his youth.
On December 13, 1993, Billy married the love of his life, Lisa Jackson, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. Together they built a life centered on family. After Lisa's passing in 2012, Billy devoted himself to raising their children and being a steady, loving father.
Billy worked in construction for many years, most recently with his Uncle Mike at Jackson Drywall. Known as a true jack-of-all-trades, there was very little he could not repair, build, or figure out. He loved spending time in his garage, always working on a project or tinkering with something. Staying busy came naturally to him, and he was never very good at having nothing to do.
Billy also had a deep love for music. He especially enjoyed classic rock and grunge, with Pearl Jam holding a special place in his heart. The band meant a great deal to both Billy and his daughter, Sarah, and their music helped them through some of life's hardest moments, including the loss of Lisa and his son, Jordan.
More than anything, Billy cherished time with his grandchildren. Being a "Papa" was one of the greatest joys of his life, and the kids were always spoiled on Papa's watch. Fishing trips, garage time, and simple moments together became treasured memories for those who loved him. His granddaughter Elisabeth fondly remembers how much she loved Papa's homemade goulash.
Billy lived with a deep appreciation for family and taught those around him an important lesson: never take time with your loved ones for granted. Love your family, cherish every moment, and live in the moment. He will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his willingness to help others, his love for music, and the deep devotion he had for his family.
Billy is survived by his daughter, Sarah Lambert and husband Jeffrey of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; Mother, Jackie Studdard and husband Gary Blankenship of Elmore City, Oklahoma; Sister, Jennifer Studdard of
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Grandchildren, Elisabeth Gail, Samuel Jack; Bonus Granddaughter, Kinslee Renee; Aunts and uncles, Mike Jackson, Mark Jackson, Lorrie Ray, Sheila Moorer; and a host of other friends and family.
Billy was preceded in death by his wife, Lisa Jackson; Son, Jordan Jackson; Father, Daryl Studdard; uncle, Matt Jackson; and grandparents, Jack and Lou Jackson.
