A retired manager with IBM, he was a long-time member of Gardenside Christian Church, Lexington and also attended Southside Christian Church, Versailles. A very detailed and organized person, Bill enjoyed cars, watching sports and playing cards. Bill loved being a grandfather and cherished the opportunity to support his grandsons at their events.
Bill is survived by his sons, Matt (Stephanie) Jacobs and Stacy (Lauren) Jacobs; grandsons, Caleb Porter Jacobs and Joshua Forrest Jacobs.
A memorial service will be 12:30 PM Friday, March 13, 2026 at Gardenside Christian Church. Visitation will be 10:30 AM til service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gardenside Christian Church, 940 Holly Springs Drive, Lexington, KY.
