Billy Payne Poston

Billy Payne Poston, age 77, of Riverside, passed away on May 23, 2024, at the V.A. Medical Center Hospice Unit, with his loving wife by his side. He was born in Dayton, Ohio, on September 11, 1946, the son of the late Wilburn and Clemma Poston.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Anthony Payne Jacaruso; and several aunts and uncles.
Billy is survived by his beloved wife, and best friend, of over 33 years, Joyce Poston; children, William Poston, Jeffrey Poston, Yvonne Jacaruso, Teresa McIntire and Cynthia Durham; grandchildren, Michelle, Christopher, Taylor, Denver, Jessica, Leeroy, April, Cody, Shawn, Maria, Gabriel, Dylan, Clemma, Brittany and Melissa; great grandchildren, Chris, Nate, Krichelle, Joleen, Cyrus, Zane, Jaylyn, Legend, Teegean, Hailee, Caiden, Lillie, Natalie, Gracie, Tyrese, Kairi-Ann, Dylan, Leah, Dantae, Zachary, Olivia, Evangelyne, Vivianna and Emma; sister, Barbara (Jerry) Clark; nephews, Zach, Micah and Josh; and many other loving cousins, family and friends.
He served his country proudly by serving in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Billy retired from Staco Energy. He was a member of the VFW Post 657 for many years. In his free time, he enjoyed playing music, camping and spending time with his family. Billy was always there for those he loved, no matter what. He always saw the good in everyone. He will be greatly missed by all of those who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held from 5:00pm-7:00pm, on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at 10:00 am, at the funeral home. Burial will follow, with Military Graveside Honors, at Valley View Memorial Gardens, Xenia, Ohio.
