Billy Nathenial Reynolds

Billy Nathenial Reynolds, 69, of Statesville NC, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Born December 20, 1956, in Grundy VA. He was the son of the late Billy James Reynolds and Ina Mae Endicott.

Billy was a dedicated coal miner for 26 years. In his free time, he enjoyed attending old car shows and flea markets with his friends. He had a passion for creating and fixing things, often spending hours working on his old dump truck and crafting unique mailboxes. He loved cooking - but if you knew him, you know he loved eating even more. Above all, Billy cherished time spent with his friends and family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Dallas Reynolds; stepsons, Jessie Ward and Jason Ward; niece, April Reynolds; and his best buddy, Roscoe.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Deborah Reynolds of Statesville; daughter, Dr. Elizabeth Reynolds of Statesville; granddaughter, Jasmine (Xavier) Jones of Charlotte; great-granddaughter, Raelyn Grimball; aunt, Goldie Howard of Fort Pierce; along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Billy Nathenial Reynolds will be held Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home, Grundy, VA, with James Stacy officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday beginning at 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour of 1:00 p.m.
