Billy Glenn Robinson, age 92, of Manteno, went home to be with Jesus on September 27th, 2025. Billy Glenn was born on December 16th, 1932 in Carbondale, IL to Wiley and Maurice (Alden) Robinson. Billy proudly enlisted into the Navy in July of 1950. He served at multiple locations including U.S. Naval Training Center in San Diego, CA; U.S. Naval Receiving Station in Washington; and the U.S. Naval Radio Station in Arlington, Washington. Billy Glenn served on the USS Dehaven DD727 during the Korean War. He worked his way up to the rank of Fireman. After the Navy, Billy Glenn worked as a truck driver for 45 years for the Teamsters Union until his retirement. Billy Glenn is survived by his children; Glenn "Scott" (Teri) Robinson of Joliet, Janice Harris of Minooka, Rick Alden (Barb) Robinson of Marseilles, Curtis (Jennifer) Robinson of Kansas City, MO; seven grandchildren, Joshua Harris, Sarah Arana, Scott Robinson, Donald Robinson, Alec Robinson, Riley Robinson, and Reed Robinson; and six great grandchildren, Abagail, Anna, Zachery, Noah, Liam, and Beau. Billy Glenn is preceded in death by his parents; one grandson Micheal Robinson; one son-in-law, Jack Harris; and brothers, Jack and Clyde Robinson. He will be missed by many. An inurnment will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood. Memorials may be made to the Manteno Veterans Home.
