Billy Wayne Russell

Billy Wayne Russell-age 55 of Sharps Chapel, born April 17, 1968, passed away suddenly and peacefully Thursday, May 11, 2023 at his home. He professed faith in Christ and was baptized at an early age. Preceded in death by his grandparents, Charlie and Jennie Russell, Rev. Charlie and Hattie Leach, father, James Edward Russell.
Survived by mother and step-father, Mae and Carlos Howard; sister, Linda Parrish and husband, David, all of Sharps Chapel. Nephew, Brandon Parrish and wife, Shea and their daughter, Lorelai, all of Luttrell; Step-daughter, Heather Jones and her children, Charity, Lily Grace, Paisley and Luke, all of Greeneville.
Graveside service and interment 3 p.m. Sunday, May 14, 2023 at the Bill Evans Cemetery, Sharps Chapel near the family home. All family, friends and neighbors are welcome to attend. Officiating the service will be Billy's life-long friend, Rev. Buddy Tolliver and music will be by Shea Parrish and Bob Maddox. Pallbearers: Brandon Parrish, Will Nease, Jeff Maddox, Matthew England, Buddy Tolliver, Todd Tolliver, Bob Spoone, Mason Dalton, Brian Anderson, Jason Brantley. Honorary Pallbearers: Tim Peckel, Mike Hale and Danny Gulley. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home by 2 p.m. Sunday to go with the funeral procession.
