Billy Harmon Sanderson

Billy Harmon Sanderson, 71, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025 at ECU Vidant Duplin in Kenansville, surrounded by his loving family.

Billy was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Billy, a.k.a. "Drifter" in the trucking world, put many miles behind the wheel of his 18 wheeler, hauling and delivering supplies all across the US. In his younger years m, When he was not in his truck, he enjoyed horseback rides, but motorcycles were a great love of his. He enjoyed riding with some great friends. In his late years, TV became a must, and watching many westerns was one of his favorite things to do.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, Harmon and Mary Ruth Brock Sanderson, three sisters, Kay James, Helen Smith, and Marie Morales..

Survivors: his loving wife, Rita Griffin Sanderson, of the home, who he cherished dearly, and his special furbaby, Abby.
