Billy "Bill" Ray Shambles, 72, of Bartlesville, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2024.
Bill was born December 4, 1951, in Bell Gardens, California, to Flora Jane (McHargue) and Robert Lee Shambles Sr. Bill graduated from Barnsdall High School in 1970 and then completed the drafting program at Tri County Technology Center. He was employed with Cities Services first in Bartlesville and was then transferred to New Mexico. He returned to Bartlesville in a few years and began his employment with his father as a stone mason.
Bill was an entrepreneur at heart and was self-employed, starting several businesses. He eventually found his passion in antiques, owning and operating Bar Dew Antiques.
He met the love of his life, Regina Lynn, in 1994 and the couple shared 30 wonderful years together.
Bill was a wheeler-dealer. In addition to antiques, he enjoyed fishing and working on cars. He loved fried chicken.
Most importantly, Bill loved his children and grandchildren. In fact, he enjoyed having three of his grandchildren living with him and Regina.
Survivors include his loving lifetime partner, Regina Lynn; four children, Crystal Hill and husband Roy, Steve Shambles, Amanda Shambles, and Zach Shambles; stepdaughter, Kim Parrish; two stepsons, Travis Codding and wife Teresa, and Kenneth Codding; two brothers, Robert Lee Shambles Jr. and wife Donna, and Jimmy Joe Shambles and wife Tamra; 17 grandchildren and one on the way (due in a few days); and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson Felix Shambles.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, November 15, 2024, at Davis Family Funeral Home – Dewey Chapel with Pastor Tony Wisdom officiating. Arrangements were made by Davis Family Funeral Home – Dewey Chapel. Online condolences and remembrances may be shared at www.DavisFamilyFuneralHome.com.
