Billy Walker Obituary
Billy Gerold Walker Sr., age 79, of Poplar, California, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026.
Billy never met a stranger and would help anyone in need. He was known for his kindness, easygoing nature, and the way he made people feel welcome wherever he went. His generosity of spirit and genuine care for others left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
He loved fishing, watching all types of car racing, and most of all spending time with his family. He also enjoyed going to yard sales, where he was always on the lookout for what he proudly called "good stuff". Family was at the heart of Billy's life, and his happiest moments were spent surrounded by those he loved.
Billy is survived by his children: Billy Walker Jr. and his wife, Kendra Walker, of
Visalia, California; Martie Walker of Porterville, California; Mike Walker of Santa Barbara, California; and Arthur Walker of Poplar, California. He is also survived by his brother Jerry Walker and his wife, Delores Walker, and his brother Mark Walker, all of Poplar, California; seven grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Woodville Cemetery in Woodville, California. Family and friends are welcome to attend and honor Billy's life.
Billy will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for his generous heart, helping
spirit, and unwavering love for his family.

My name is Shirley Perez and Billy was my first cousin. He was four months younger than me. I had a cousin Carolyn, Billy and I that his mother babysat so we were together a lot when we were small playing together and we did some pretty dumb things when we were little, but we had lots of fun.
As we grew up, we played lots of games at my grandmother`s house in the evenings when we would get together for holidays, piggy wants a signal, hide and go seek all kinds of cool things. We had the most fun as cousins! This was a big loss for a man who was so charitable to his bio and his adopted children! He took in one of his sons that was so ill and needed help took care of, and took in grandchildren that needed to be cared for and raised. He will be he will be missed, and I do believe that he got his halo. Loved you, Billy Jerold Walker.
