Billy L Williamson

Billy Love Williamson, age 88, of Pensacola, Florida, passed away on December 4, 2025.

Billy was born on January 22, 1937, in Pinola, Mississippi, to Willie ("Bill") and Lavern Williamson. He spent his childhood on the family farm in Mississippi, surrounded by the love of his parents, his three older sisters-Vera (deceased), Erie (deceased), and Jimmy-and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. At the age of 14, Billy moved with his family to Pensacola, the place he would proudly call home for the rest of his life.

Billy met the love of his life, Betty, at church. After two years of courtship, they married on September 17, 1955, and recently celebrated their remarkable 70th wedding anniversary. Together they built a beautiful life and were blessed with three children: Eric (Deborah-deceased), Julie (Ray), and David (Gretchen). Their family grew to include ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, each one deeply cherished by Billy.

Billy enjoyed a long and dedicated career in the food service industry, beginning at Wilson Meat Packers, then Pensacola Portion Pak, and later retiring from Adam's Brothers Produce in 1998.

Since 1998, Billy had been a devoted member of Calvary Way Church. He loved his church and his church family dearly. Serving as a greeter brought him immense joy, as did welcoming everyone, especially children, through the church doors. His heart for missions led him to serve in Mexico, work he treasured for the rest of his life. Above all, Billy loved his Lord Jesus.

Billy found peace and happiness outdoors. Hunting trips with his sons, grandsons, friends, and other family members filled his heart with joy and created memories that will be forever cherished.

Billy loved Betty with all his heart, a love that will continue to shine forever. His family was his greatest treasure, but to them, he was theirs.
