Billye Arledge Dowdy

I met Miss Dowdy at Plantation Oaks while I worked there. She was always a nice woman to me. We would talk about things. She will always have a special place in heart. My thoughts and prayers go to your family. I know where you are coming from. I lost my parents at young ages 57 and 58. They would be in the 90s now.

If the book of Hebrews was just now being written, Mrs. Billye's name would appear in the Heroes of Faith in Chapter 10. What a remarkable Christian woman she was, whose life impacted many before her death, and whose legacy will continue beyond the grave.

Billye drank deeply from the word of God and prayer which empowered her to touch countless lives by her compassion, love, prayers, and always giving a big hug.
On October 11,2025 God said to Billye, "Well done good and faithful servant, ...enter into the joy of my Presence." She is worshipping fully in His presence.

Billye Dowdy was a person that you fell in love with as soon as you met her. She made an impact on so many lives and the memories of her will always be a treasure. She never let a soul go without hearing the how wonderful Jesus is and she never passed up an opportunity to pray with and for everyone she met. I witnessed nurses on my job come out of her room at Oak Hammock, with the biggest smile or tears of joy because she touched everyone she came in contact with. We love you Billye and can´t wait to see you in Glory
