Blaine Noel Newcomb

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Blaine Noel Newcomb, on August 22, 2023, age 63 years old. Longtime resident of Gretna, LA. Beloved husband to Karen S. Newcomb of 38 years. He is survived by his siblings, Alan Newcomb (Becky), Darlene Newcomb Saucier (George), Keith Newcomb (Kathy), and Susanne Newcomb Parks (John). Preceded in death by his father, the late John H. Newcomb and his mother, the late Camile Koch Newcomb Garrison. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and many others he considered family. Blaine is a U.S. Army Veteran. After he was honorably discharged, he made his career as a master carpenter. He loved life, woodworking, animals, fishing, golfing, going to the beach, listening to music and playing cards. He was an avid New Orleans Saints fan. He will be missed by all. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Service in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy., Harvey, LA on Thursday, August 31, 2023 at 11 am.
