Blake Powers went to be with the Lord on October 18, 2024, in San Antonio, TX. He was born on October 10th, 1947, in Las Cruces, New Mexico to Wayne and Katie Powers. He is preceded in death by his parents, his son Mathew Powers, and sister-in- law Jan Powers.
Blake is survived by, his twin brother Scott Lee Powers, niece Lynelle Boyd and husband Russ, and nephew Kyle Powers and wife Stephanie.
Blake went to Texas A&I in Kingsville where he was a member of a fraternity. He had many life long friends from his fraternity days. He looked forward to the group's annual Jalisco Golf Tournament in Laughlin, Nevada. This April will be the 51 anniversary of the tournament.
Blake had worked for Allstate since 1988 as an insurance agent and an owner. He loved to go hunting and fishing with family and friends. He was also a member of the Texas National Guard from 1967-1973.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

My sincerest condolences the Blake's family. I knew Blake in Harlingen, Texas. We went to school together, and played sports throughout our teen years, baseball and football. He was a great guy and good friend. Rest in Peace, brother.
