After graduation he started his 40+ years as a self employed jeweler and was a master of his craft. When not working he enjoyed fishing, bowling, golfing, kayaking, and dirt bike riding with friends and family. Blake also loved cigars and doing crossword and sudoku puzzles when enjoying alone time. He was known for his witty humor and dependability and was always willing to help friends and family in need.
He is survived by his two children; Brittany Lauren Tahran and Matthew Blake Tahran; his two siblings Duane John Tahran Jr. and sister Denette Roxanne Tahran; his significant other Janice Perricelli.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Duane John Tahran, Sr. and Dendra Edwina Dobson.

Mr.Blake was my across the street neighbor my entire childhood. I remember the block parties fondly and he is definitely one of the reasons I grew up with thick skin with his witty self! I always saw the other dad's of the neighborhood as one of my dad's and Mr.Blake was no exception. Between asking him or Matt to come over and get a snake from our yard, playing with Ally their dog, or taking all the Japanese plums from his front yard Mr.Blake was a staple in our neighborhood. He even fixed a beloved bracelet for me after a rude girl at school picked on me for it and pulled on it, breaking it. It was a halloween charm bracelet I wore all the time. I was so excited when he have it back. Good as new. Though I moved from the neighborhood on Timberlake Drive I know my dad really valued his friendship with Mr. Blake and his company.
