Blake Burr Wise, age 74, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, in Easton, Maryland, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease.

Born on June 5, 1951, at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Washington, D.C., Blake was the son of Dr. Samuel P. Wise III and Ruth Sturgeon Wise. He graduated from Milford Mill High School in 1969 and went on to earn his degree from University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC).

Blake enjoyed a long and fulfilling career in advertising, where his booming radio voice became well known during his time at WCEM in Cambridge, Maryland. He later worked for Adstrategies in Easton before fulfilling a lifelong dream by founding Wise Advertising with his son, Brandon.

His Christian faith was central to his life, and he was an active member of his church communities — most recently Talbot Bible Church in Easton. Blake found great joy in serving others, coaching soccer and Little League, mentoring disadvantaged youth, and participating in community theater in his younger years.

A man of many passions, Blake was an avid photographer, a lover of nature and music, and a gifted singer blessed with a beautiful bass voice. He was also a passionate sports fan—cheering faithfully for the Orioles, the Baltimore Colts (until their sudden departure), the Baltimore Ravens, and the Washington Capitals.

Above all, family was the heart of Blake's life. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose love, humor, and encouragement has shaped generations.

Blake is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Deborah Schroeder Wise; his children Kara Blouin (Kevin), Thad Wise (Amy), Brandon Wise(Elisa), and Kyle Wise(Amanda); and nine cherished grandchildren, Stella and Eli Blouin, Silas, Jake, Lincoln, Sawyer, Landon, and Beckham Wise and Jack Pivec. He is also survived by his stepmother, Kathleen Wise; his sisters Melissa Wise and Adrienne Parker; and his brothers Sam Wise IV and Frank Wise.

Blake will be remembered for his passion on the field, his deep and abiding faith, his devotion to family, and his lifelong love of music. His voice and spirit will continue to echo in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
