Blanca Sierra Martinez, de 68 años, de Amarillo, falleció el 21 de enero de 2026 en Amarillo.
El velorio y la visita familiar se llevarán a cabo el viernes 23 de enero de 2026, de 10:00 a. m. a 4:45 p. m. en la Funeraria Angel, ubicada en 2209 South Arthur. Se rezará un rosario a las 5:00 p. m. y el servicio fúnebre se realizará a las 6:00 p. m. en la misma funeraria, oficiado por el diácono David Duenes de la Iglesia Católica St. Laurence.
Blanca nació el 24 de octubre de 1957 en México. Sus padres fueron José María Sierra Alvidrez y María Torres Campos. Llegó a Estados Unidos a los 14 años. Se casó con Pedro Núñez Martínez en 1976.
Blanca era una mujer trabajadora y dedicada a su familia. En su juventud fue estilista y continuó cortando y peinando el cabello de familiares y amigos durante toda su vida.
Tenía un alma bondadosa y disfrutaba de los placeres sencillos de la vida. Le encantaban los animales y se rodeaba de pájaros, desde pequeños periquitos hasta palomas y loros. También le gustaba estar al aire libre y cultivaba un hermoso jardín con muchas plantas.
Blanca irradiaba alegría a quienes la rodeaban. Era más feliz cuando estaba rodeada de su familia y seres queridos.
Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres; un hermano, Jesús Pizana Torres, y su esposo, Pedro Núñez Martínez.
A Blanca le sobreviven sus hijos, Rosa Pascuala Ruiz, Violeta Prieto, Pedro Martínez III y Rogelio Martínez; sus hermanas, Ofelia Sierra Torres, Leticia Sierra Torres y Marcielena Sierra Torres; sus hermanos, Raymundo Lerma Sierra, Josemaria Sierra Torres, Javier Sierra Torres, Daniel Pizana Torres y Rafael Sierra Torres; cinco nietas; diez nietos; cinco bisnietos; y muchos otros familiares queridos.
Blanca Sierra Martinez, age 68 of Amarillo died January 21, 2026, in Amarillo.
Family viewing and visitation will be on Friday, January 23, 2026, from 10:00 AM until 4:45 PM at Angel Funeral Home, 2209 South Arthur. A rosary will be said at 5:00 PM and the funeral service will follow at 6:00 PM at Angel Funeral Home, 2209 South Arthur, led by Deacon David Duenes of St. Laurence Catholic Church.
Blanca was born on October 24, 1957, in Mexico. Her parents were Jose Marie Sierra Alvidrez and Maria Torres Campos. She came to the US when she was 14 years old. She married Pedro Nunez Martinez in 1976.
Blanca was a hard worker and dedicated to her family. In her younger years she was a hairstylist by trade and would continue to cut and style family and friends’ hair throughout her life.
She had a gentle soul, who loved the simply pleasures in life. She enjoyed God’s creatures and surrounded herself with birds, from small love birds to doves and small parrots. She also loved being outside and grew a beautiful garden and plants.
Blanca had a joy about her that radiated to those around her. She was happiest when surrounded by her family and loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Jesus Pizana Torres and by her husband Pedro Nunez Martinez.
Blanca is survived by her children, Rosa Pascuala Ruiz, Violeta Prieto, Pedro Martinez III, and Rogelio Martinez; by her sisters, Ofelia Sierra Torres, Leticia Sierra Torres, and Marcielena Sierra Torres; her brothers, Raymundo Lerma Sierra, Josemaria Sierra Torres, Javier Sierra Torres, Daniel Pizana Torres and Rafael Sierra Torres; five granddaughters; ten grandsons; five great grandchildren; and many other loving family members.
