Blanche Gathof Kitchen

Blanche and l were friends for many years, we shared our political beliefs. I admired Blanche for her kindness in helping others. We usually parted with , Keep the Faith ! I miss her . Judy Hanekamp

I will always cherish the memories of the years we spent working together at Bargain Mart and always be grateful for her friendship and the many opportunities she afforded me. She was without a doubt, one of the most influential women in my life, and one of the smartest and hardest working. She had many accomplishments, but was most proud of her children and grandchildren and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

It breaks my heart to hear of Blanche´s passing. I have such fond memories of her and Joe when Trader Publishing purchased Bargain Mart! I was the Executive VP of Human Resources for Trader Publishing and we flew to Louisville to meet Blanche and Joe and staff! Blanch and I became close friends and I spent several weekends in Louisville with Blanche and Joe ! I had the wonderful opportunity also to meet their 4 wonderful children! I will always remember her with loving, kind memories as a dear friend. We shared many good times together- even at her place in Florida! May she rest in peace. My sincere sympathy

I will miss Blanche. She was a force and could do anything she set her mind to. A wonderful person and a great gal to work for. I met her in 1980 when I went to work at Bargain Mart. I know she felt the love of her family and friends....last year we'd text each other during U of L football games. Prayers and sympathy for those near and dear to her. She'll be missed.

My first memory of Blanche...she was pregnant with the twins. She and Joe were living in an apartment by U of L.
We were business partners and life long friends.
