For I am now ready to be offered & the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.

Blondell Burroughs-Lewis, daughter of the late King Burroughs & Marva Lee Roper was born September 24, 1939 in Mullins, SC & raised in Nesmith, SC. She went on to be with the Lord on Monday, November 17, 2025 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her grandson Marcus Ross & her late husband, Robert Lewis. Blondell was educated in the Williamsburg County Public School System. She was a graduate of Battery Park High School.

Blondell accepted Christ at an early age & was a faithful member at Mill Creek Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a member of the Nurses Guild.

Blondell was united in Holy Matrimony to Leroy Maybank Dorsey in July 1959. This union was blessed with 4 children.

Blondell was a long time employer of Bell Atlantic in New York City where she retired. She also worked at SOPACKO Packaging of Mullins, SC. She later met & married Robert Lewis in 1991.

Blondell enjoyed listening to gospel music, reading her Bible, spending time with her family and watching game show network.

She leaves to cherish her fond memories: three loving daughters; Deborah L. Baker of Marion, SC, Laray (Doug) Parsley of Mullins, SC, Lanoria Dorsey of the residence. One son: Leroy Dorsey Jr of New York City. Three loving siblings: Lovenia (Cecil) Burroughs, John (Ann) Pressley of Philadephia & Ella Aryeetey of Nesmith, SC. Ten grandchildren & six great grandchildren: Three special friends Marilyn Vandroff, Virginia Thompson and Emanuel Legette and a host of other relatives & friends.
