Roderick Robert Davidson V, known affectionately as "Bob," passed away on July 12, 2024, in Selden, New York. He was born on October 2, 1942, in Queens, New York.
Bob led a fulfilling life as a dedicated Truck Driver, where his passion for the open road and commitment to his work left an indelible mark on those around him. His driving and unwavering work ethic were admired by all who knew him.
His memory will be cherished by his surviving family, including his beloved spouse, Carol; his sons, Charles and Michael and Dakota; his daughters, Savannah and Mackenzie; and his grandchildren, Arianna, Austin, Kaitlyn, Paige and Destiny. Bob's love for his family was evident in everything he did, and the bond they shared will forever remain unbreakable.
Bob was a Lieutenant and a dedicated lifetime member of the Selden Fire Department.
Friends and loved ones are invited to pay their respects at the visitation services to be held at the Mangano Family Funeral Home of Middle Island at 640 Middle Country Rd. in Middle Island. The visitations will take place on Sunday, July 14th from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Monday, July 15th from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM as well as from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM. A Firematic Service by the Selden Fire Department will be held in Bob's honor at 8:00PM during Monday's visitation. Bob will be laid to rest in Washington Memorial Park on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, with the funeral service commencing at 11:00AM.
Bob will be remembered for his kindness, dedication to his family, and the legacy of warmth he leaves behind. May he rest in peace knowing that he was cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
