A memorial service for Robert “Bob” Kelly, age 73, of Enid, will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Shonn Keels officiating. Cremation and funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory.
Bob was born May 23, 1951 in Enid, Oklahoma to Royce and Peggy (Staudt) Kelly, and passed away Thursday, January 30, 2025 in Enid.
Bob grew up on the family farm in Hunter. He graduated from Hunter High School. He married Karen Atkinson on May 14, 1971, and together they had two sons, Travis, and Justin. He got his real estate license where he sold real estate for Plainsman Real Estate until he moved to Brighton, Colorado, where he graduated from the Law Enforcement Academy in Trinidad, Colorado, and went to work for Adams County Sheriff’s Department until his retirement after 25 years. He and Karen moved back to Enid in 2017, and they enjoyed traveling in their RV. Bob and Karen were fellowship of Emmanuel Enid Church. While in Colorado, they were members of Victory Church where they were on the greeter and usher teams, they also helped with communion, and Operation Christmas Child, delivering boxes to the distribution warehouse. Bob helped to build sets and decorated for Church presentations, as well as preparing and serving meals for church celebrations and activities. They also helped with blood drives and health fairs. Bob was always willing to help in any way he could, and was a selfless servant of the Lord. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Preceded in death by his parents, Royce and Peggy Kelly. He is survived by his wife Karen, of the home in Enid; two sons, Travis Kelly and wife Pamela, of Denver, CO; Justin Kelly and wife Ginger, of Enid; three grandchildren, Tayler and Preston Kelly, of Denver, and Alex Tulk, of Ft. Worth, TX; great-grandson, Zeydin Peterson, of Denver; brother, Jim Kelly, of Enid; and sister, Kathy Daniels of Enid, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.
Memorial contributions in Bob’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
