Robert "Bob" Lemmen, 98, Town of Lawrence, passed away peacefully at home Thursday morning, January 2, 2025.
Bob was born November 6, 1926, to the late Matthew and Caroline (Bos) Lemmen. On May 1, 1948, he married Dorothy "Dottie" (Goffard) Lemmen at St. Joseph Catholic Church, De Pere.
Bob worked at Proctor & Gamble for 33 years before retiring in 1989. He also served on the Town of Lawrence Volunteer Fire Department, having served as Assistant Chief for 14 years.
In retirement Bob and Dottie enjoyed traveling, and wintering in Arizona and Texas. Never one to sit still, Bob liked to cut grass and garden to stay busy.
A loving husband and father, Bob was always there to give his family a hand.
He is survived by his children; Bonnie (Al) Mullen, Debbie (John) Roemaat, Rick (Nancy) Lemmen, Larry (Wendi) Lemmen, and Shelly (Rick) Ambrosius. Grandchildren; Janelle (Joe) Socha, Tammy (Chad) Roffers, Jason (Carrie) Roemaat, Scott (Kristen) Roemaat, and Laura (Scott) McFadden. Great grandchildren; Austin, Alec, Trennedy, Tylee, Raya and Kira. Step grandchildren and step great grandchildren further survive. Bob's sister Sis (Gene) Egnarski, and his two sisters-in-law Helen Lemmen and Jean Lemmen also survive.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife Dottie, two children, Ronnie and Mike, and grandchild Christy.
His siblings; Wilbert (Norma) Lemmen, Catherine (John) Lemerond, John Lemmen, his twin brother Norbert (Florence) Lemmen, Henrietta (Don) Schaetz, Richard (Mary) Lemmen, Bernice (Gene) Hermsen, and Bud Lemmen. Dottie's family; Wilbert (Loretta) Goffard, Bernice (Norb) Severson, Evelyn (Norb) Rentmeester, Alvin (Eleanor) Goffard, Alvina (Ray) Van Lanen, Bob (Pat) Goffard, Millie (Don) Fischer, and Ervin (Dort) Goffard.
Friends may call at Ryan Funeral Home 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere from 4:00PM Monday, January 6, 2025, until time of Service at 7:00PM.
