Bob Ulbert Obituary
In recent years, Bob enjoyed his retirement near his beloved Ludington, MI. Strolling along the Ludington Pier and capturing photos of the lighthouse and Lake Michigan's beautiful natural shoreline brought him tremendous joy. Bob spent a lifetime studying photography, his favored hobby, and filled his home with beautiful images of nature and family.
Bob was an avid Chicago sports fan and was delighted to see the Bears beat the Packers in their recent historic Wild Card Playoff game. We know that he is celebrating the Bears win with his dearly departed daughter, Maggie (Justin) Thompson. He is survived by his remaining children, Paul (Liz) Ulbert, Renée Tuohey, Caitlyn (Daniel) Szymanski, Aimee (Joe) Bennett, and Emily (Matt) Mueller. Bob loved his nine grandchildren, Aiden, Colin, Fred, Desi, Mabel, Molly, Alice, Matilda, and Grace.
The world feels a bit less adventurous today, a shade grayer. It's harder to enjoy the natural beauty of the sunlight bouncing on the waves in Lake Michigan. However, Bob would want us all to smile as we enjoyed the wind on our face and the natural beauty before us. Take a bit of his adventurous spirit with you as you remember him.
