I never personally knew Bob Wolff, but I would sometimes hear him fill in for his son Rick on WFAN. Also, heard him and saw him when he did the Old Timers game at Yankee Stadium and talked to the Old Timers. He will be sorely missed. I will sorely miss him. My condolences go to his family.

Bob and the 1962 Senators signed a baseball for me when it was written that I had broken my leg sliding into home plate In a little league game.
I listened to him a lot as a kid and he became an inspiration and one of my heroes.
Thanks Bob.
Rest in peace !

Bob Wolff was a great broadcaster for the Washington Senators and the Minnesota Twins. He also did the NBC Major League Baseball Game of the Week every Saturday which included doing the All Star Game and the World Series. Back then when he was doing the Game of the Week there was not any divisional play just the American League and National League. He was a great broadcaster for all who enjoyed him either on radio or television. He will be missed by all. He was recipient of the coveted Ford C. Frick Award for Broadcasting Excellence as a baseball broadcaster.

Bob lived a great life. He was just as great as a man as he was a broadcaster. I last spoke to him Father's Day. He didn't sound good. I am blessed to call him a friend. I first met him when I was around 12. I was a runner for him at msg for a track meet. I then was a publicist for two years Willie in high school for a summer baseball league where he was the commissioner. I then was a student of his at Saint Johns. My friend Dom said it was the best class he took in four years We had a special Warner Wolff that Bob coordinated Then periodically I would run into him coaching. Not too often. And then bagels and baseball for four or five years. It was a blessing to reconnect with him. My car rides with him were precious. He was always interested in my family. I will cherish my memories with him. He was a kind, kind man.

I was lucky enough and old enough to hear Bob often here in the NY metro area. I remember many of his broadcast of the Knicks and other NY teams and Bob was always a class act. RIP Bob and my sincerest condolences to the Wolff Family.

There are some of us who are more than blessed to have experienced this man in our lives. There are no words in the human language to equal this giant of a person. Every part of life that he touched was done with magic and integrity. A huge chunk of us has been taken away. With a sad heart I send out prayers to all of his family. Man, will he be missed!

Extending heartfelt condolences to family and friends for the loss of Bob. Being a fine broadcaster that he was, no doubt he spent many days away from home. May your treasured memories comfort and strengthen you during the coming days.
