Bobbee LaVon (Spencer) Wilcox, 92, of Canton, peacefully passed away October 20, 2025, at the Guthrie Rehab Center in Towanda, PA. Born September 13,1933, in Roaring Branch, PA, she was the daughter of Robert M., Jr. and Sarah Elizabeth (Gosline) Spencer. Married December 1, 1950, in Sayre, PA, she was the loving wife of George D. Wilcox, with whom she shared 67 wonderful years of marriage until his passing in 2018.
Bobbee graduated from Canton High School in 1952 and Williamsport Area Community College in 1982. In her early years, she worked at the Swayze Folding Box Company and the Acme Market in Canton. Later, she served as clerk at the US Post Office in Canton and as postmaster for 20 years in Grover, PA from 1972 until 1985 and in Roaring Branch from 1985 until her retirement in 1992. She later worked at the Eastern Best Products store in Canton.

She was a member of the Canton Ecumenical Parish; a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star, Canton Chapter; Literary Club; the National Association of Postmasters of the U.S.; and was former President, Secretary and Director of the Canton High School Alumni Association.

Bobbee loved her family and enjoyed their gatherings at her home. She was a great cook and loved trying new recipes. Reading was her passion, and she was one of the Green Free Library's most active patrons. She was a huge fan of Little League Baseball. She kept up with current events, read several newspapers each day and never missed her duty to vote. She enjoyed her flower gardens, butterflies, hummingbirds and songbirds. She and George enjoyed travel and had a close group of "snowbird" friends in Port Canaveral, Florida.

She is survived by her three children: Jared S. Wilcox, husband of Rebecca; Jan V. Wilcox; and Leigh Ann W. Leary, wife of Neil Leary, Jr.; six grandchildren, Jenny and husband, Orlando; Emily and husband, Joe; Skylar and wife Nichole; Jaryn and husband Steven, Connor, and Patrick; and 7 great grandchildren, London, Emerson, Myles, Natalie, Lauren, Scott, and Melanie, all of whom she loved dearly. In addition to her parents, her stepfather, Howard Quinn, and her husband, George, she was predeceased by her sister, Sandra Spencer Moshier Damon, and her daughter-in-law Marcia P. Wilcox.

Her memorial will be conducted by the Pepper Funeral Home, 578 Springbrook Drive in Canton, on Thursday, October 30, 2025, with visitation beginning at 1pm followed by services at 2pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Green Free Library, 38 North Center Street, Canton, PA to the attention of Mary Campbell.
