GOWER – Bobbie Jean (West) Gower, age 90 of Dacula, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 20, 2025. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at Hog Mountain Baptist Church in Dacula, with Rev. Justin Twiggs and Rev. Scott Tanner officiating. Interment will follow at Hog Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at Tim Stewart Funeral Home in Lawrenceville. Bobbie Jean was the last of 10 siblings. She was a native of the Hog Mountain Community and a lifelong member of Hog Mountain Baptist Church. Bobbie Jean retired from the Gwinnett County School System where she worked in food service. She will be remembered as a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother. The family would like to thank the staff of Open Arms and Loving Hands for the wonderful care and respect shown to Bobbie Jean while in their care. Bobbie Jean was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years James Winford Gower in 2017; and her parents, Jesse Columbus and Ever Monterey (Luther) West. She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Jean Whitley and Cindy (Barry) Cheek; grandchildren, Jim (Cheri) Satterfield; Jodi (Brad) Slade; Ashley (Chris) Ellefsen; and Wesley (Samantha) Cheek; 11 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
