Bobbie Sue Fuller Smith

1951 - 2026

Mrs. Bobbie Sue Fuller Smith of Florence, South Carolina, age 74, entered into eternal rest on March 20, 2026 after a valiant battle with cancer.

Bobbie Sue was married to Lionel Sidney Smith for over 47 years. Their shared sense of adventure brought them to Chile, Finland, Aruba, the Caribbean, and many other exciting destinations. Born and raised in Appling, Georgia, life took her many places, but she never forgot her roots. She was a most dedicated grandmother, devoted wife and mother, loving sister, and loyal friend. She was witty and known for her honesty, yet also possessed a soft side known by all. She loved hard and valued family above all else. With a reputation as a prankster, she loved to bring light and levity to any situation she could. Always willing to open her home to friends and family in need, her kindness, hospitality, and sense of humor will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her daughter Robyn and her husband Matt O'Hora of Richmond, Virginia, daughter Sarah and her husband Cory Proctor of Cumming, Georgia; five grandchildren Everleigh Proctor, and Brendon, Davis, Sydney, and Weston O'Hora; siblings Gene Fuller (Beverly) of Appling, GA and Lynn Gaskins of Martinez, GA; sister-in-law Peggy Fuller of Lincolnton, GA, along with numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. The family is particularly grateful for her nephew Darrell Todd and the care he provided her during recent health struggles.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Ashley Elizabeth Smith, parents Wyatt Chamblin Fuller and Elsie Duncan Fuller, sisters Brenda Todd, Mary Miller, Vera Brandenburg, and brother Charles Fuller.

A celebration of her life will be held Sunday March 22, 2026 at 3:00 PM at Damascus Baptist Church, 6375 Ridge Road. Appling, GA 30802, with Rev. Larry Harmon officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will recieve friends from 2:00 until 3:00 PM on Sunday at the church prior to the service. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Cory Proctor, Matt O'Hora, Darrell Todd, Michael Todd, Wyatt Fuller, and Tal Poss.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the March of Dimes, an organization close to Bobbie Sue's heart after receiving their support following the birth of her first child.
