Bobbie Long Vaughn, born on January 4, 1941, in
Lincolnton, North Carolina, passed away peacefully in
Virginia Beach, Virginia, on January 11, 2026, at the age of 85. After an illness, she departed this world to join her beloved husband, Donald Edward Vaughn, Sr., and her son, Donald Edward Vaughn, Jr., in eternal rest.
Though petite in frame, Bobbie was immense in spirit, radiating warmth and vibrancy that left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered. Her life was a testament to kindness and resilience, infusing every interaction with care and positivity.
A dedicated Customer Service Representative at Belk, Bobbie was known for her steadfast dedication and compassionate service. Yet, it was in the quieter moments where her true passions shone. She showered endless affection on her faithful dog, Buddie, volunteered tirelessly for her community, and cherished every opportunity to spend time with her family and friends. Though she did not have a church home, Bobbie was undoubtedly a woman of deep faith, embodying love and grace in all her pursuits.
Bobbie's legacy lives on through her surviving family: her devoted daughter, Nicki Nash; cherished grandchildren, Krissy Esget, Michael Nash, Leisa Vaughn, Megan Vaughn, and Erin Vaughn; and treasured great-grandchildren, Rylee Nash, Bennett Mangus Nash, Erika Lynn Burns, and Kristopher Hendricks. She is also survived by her loving siblings, Hazel Hamrick, Bill Long, Diane Stanley, Terry Long, and Delores Payseur, along with a close-knit circle of additional family members and friends.
Though services will be held privately at a later date, we intend to forever cherish Bobbie Vaughn and the profound impact she had on us all. Her infectious personality and love-filled life will continue to inspire and uplift us, reminding us of the beauty in giving selflessly and living with purpose.
