Bobby Anderson Obituary

Published by Legacy on Feb. 7, 2026.
Bobby Lee Anderson, affectionately known as "School Boy," passed away peacefully in his home on February 4, 2026, at the age of 77.

Born and raised in Rippy Ridge, Bobby later made his home in Shelbyville, where he built a life rooted in faith, love, and hard work. He was a devoted husband, a proud and loving father, and a man of strong moral character. A true man of God, Bobby was honest, kind, thoughtful, and selfless. Though he could be stubborn at times, he was also warm-hearted and known for his sense of humor, often bringing laughter to those around him.

Bobby was a hardworking man who deeply loved his wife and son and cared fiercely for his family. He found joy in life's simple pleasures-fishing, watching football, and settling in to enjoy western shows and movies. He loved playing board games and cards, and he treasured time spent with family and friends. His dogs, Spike and Lucky, were beloved companions and held a special place in his heart.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Jackylon Wilson Anderson; his son, Bobby Wilson; and his daughter-in-law, Amber Wilson. He also leaves behind a heap of nieces and nephews, a host of friends, and many loved ones who will miss him dearly.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Earnestine Anderson and Robert Anderson; his siblings, Tommy Lee "TL" Anderson, Larry Anderson, Robert Anderson, and Linda Maxwell; his sons, John Thomas Anderson and Tyrone Frazier; and his grandchildren, Brittany Anderson and Victor Tyrone Frazier.

Bobby's life reflected the promise found in James 1:12: "Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him." His family also finds comfort in Revelation 21:4: "He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."

Bobby Lee Anderson will be remembered as a faithful, funny, and loving man whose integrity, warmth, and devotion to family left a lasting mark on all who knew him.
