Bobby Dale Ashby was born January 7, 1946, in Shreveport, Louisiana to Olen and Lena Ashby, and passed away Sunday, November 9, 2025, in Blanchard, Louisiana.
He was a longtime member of the Blanchard Church of the Nazarene and was devoted to his faith and family. He could always be found spending time outside on his porch, caring for stray animals, building his birdhouses, gardening in his yard, and spending time with his friends and family, especially his best friend - his grandson, Wyatt.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah “Honey” Keel Ashby; his parents; and his sisters, Mary Lou Rabo and Sandra Dryden.
Left to cherish his memory is his son, Christopher Bradley Ashby; daughter, Lesa Michele Herman; grandson, Wyatt Joseph Herman; brothers, Jerry Ashby and wife, Lois, Larry Ashby and wife, Barbara, and Olen Ashby and wife, Betty.
Per his wishes, a graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Gardens North Cemetery in Blanchard, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Pastor Delbert Terry.
