Bob Bailey, a beloved husband and father, passed away on August 28, 2025, at his home in Kingston, Oklahoma. He was born on April 3, 1935, in Orr, Oklahoma, to the late Mr. Thomas Bailey and Thelma (Love) Mayes.
Bob's journey through life began in the scenic areas of Orr and Ringling. He received his education at Orr until its consolidation with Ringling and also attended Zaneis and Wilson Public Schools. Proudly graduating with the class of 1953 from Ringling High School, Bob laid the foundation for a life filled with hard work and dedication. On November 6, 1954, Bob married the love of his life, Pauline Whitener. This union marked the beginning of a remarkable partnership that would span over 70 years. Together, they first made their home in Dallas, Texas, where they were blessed with four children. Bob's professional life was marked by his tenure at Collins Radio, which later transitioned into Rockwell International. He devoted himself to his work as a mechanic and machine operator, ultimately retiring in 1989. In 1994, Bob and Pauline chose to settle in Kingston, Oklahoma, a place that would serve as a backdrop for many cherished memories. An avid outdoorsman, Bob had a passion for collecting knives and enjoyed small game hunting. His love for the outdoors extended to his participation in trap shooting, where he earned honors in both the Oklahoma and Texas Hall of Fame, showcasing his skill and dedication to the sport.
