Bobby Burgess

Roberta, OK- Bobby was born Thursday, September 4, 1952 in Durant, Oklahoma to Dorothy Jean Allen. He passed from this life on Friday, September 24, 2021 in Plano, Texas from injuries sustained in an automobile accident ten days earlier.
Bobby attended schools in Bokchito and has lived in Bryan County most of his life. He married Trecia Harkey on January 1st, 2003 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Bobby owned and operated his own drywall business for over forty years. Bobby and Trecia are members of Victory Life Church. Bobby enjoyed tinkering in his shop and playing Wahoo with Julie. He was an avid OU football fan, loved reading his Bible and inspirational books. Bobby also liked watching Gunsmoke and The Bold and The Beautiful.
Bobby was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Crystal Marie Burgess; granny, Exie Burgess; and papa, Dewey Leslie Burgess.
He is survived by his wife, Trecia, of Roberta; daughter, Stacy Dawn Chirico of Grapevine, TX; stepsons, Shane Harkey and Russell Harkey; grandchildren, Brittany Irvin, Brandy Coffey, Christina Harkey, Tiana Harkey, Addison Harkey and Kenton Harkey; great-grandchildren, Cruz Cabrera, Avery Coffey, and Lincoln Coffey; brothers, Tommy Allen and wife, Teresa of Krum, TX, and Johnny Paul Allen of Las Vegas, NV; sisters, Becky Wistion and husband, William of Denton, TX, Sherry Bagley and husband, Terry of Krum, TX, and special sister, Wanda Magby of Durant, OK.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 28th, at Victory Life Church in Durant with Pastor Lee Armstrong officiating. Pallbearers will be Tommy Allen, Tommy Wayne Allen, Tanner Allen, Terry Bagley, Shane Harkey and Russell Harkey.
A Visitation will be held on Monday evening from 6-8 PM at Brown's Funeral Home in Durant.
