Bobby Castner Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Goble Funeral Home & Crematory on Feb. 9, 2026.
Bobby Jean Castner, a beloved homemaker and devoted family woman, entered into the arms of Jesus on February 9, 2026, at the age of 75. Born into a military family on April 10, 1950, in Fort Benning, Georgia, she was one of nine children and experienced a childhood enriched with travel, living in diverse places such as Alaska, Germany, and Japan.

Bobby Jean dedicated her life to her family. As a proud homemaker, she created a nurturing and loving environment for her husband, children, and grandchildren. She married the love of her life, James Castner, on February 25, 1972. Their partnership spanned nearly 54 years, characterized by deep love and companionship. James survives her, cherishing the many memories they made together.

She leaves behind a legacy of faith, having taught Sunday School for over 40 years and actively participating in a Women's Bible Study group. A devout attendee of the Roseville Independent Chapel, Bobby Jean was known for her unwavering faith and commitment to her church community.

Her greatest joys were her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her loving children, Christie (Richard) Conrad, Mishele (Bradley) Clymer, and Douglas (Luanne) Castner. Bobby Jean's legacy continues through her six cherished grandchildren: Alexandrea (Patrick) Donahue, Gabriel (Rebecca) Clymer, Bryce Clymer, Aaron (Haley) Clymer, Andrew Castner, and Kaylee Castner, along with nine adored great-grandchildren.

In addition to her immediate family, Bobby Jean is survived by four sisters and two brothers, who remember her fondly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleadus and Marie (Young) Bybee, as well as her brother, Robert Bybee, and sister, Cledia Bybee.

Bobby Jean's love of reading and passion for teaching left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Her gentle spirit, warm heart, and infectious smile will be dearly missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to honor and remember Bobby Jean's extraordinary life. Her family finds comfort in knowing she is with the Lord.
