Bobby Gene Cox, Sr., passed away peacefully at his home on November 18th, 2025, with his wife at his side. Bobby was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who always put his family first.
Bobby ran a catering truck business for 45 years and always had a joke and a smile for all his customers. He enjoyed playing many sports but excelled at doubles tennis where he participated in several regional tournaments. In his later years he would become an avid golfer and often played with his son and granddaughters.
Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Freda Cox; his children Tina Buzzutto (Nick), Bobby Cox, Jr.; his grandchildren, Lindsay Dill (Vince), Brittany Cox, Brandie Cox (Jess), Matthew Gilchrist (Heather); and great-grandchildren Evangeline Dill, Coleman Dill, Kyler Gilchrist, Kaden Gilchrist, and Kendall Gilchrist. He is also survived by his sister Diane Morris and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents Louise Cox and John Cox; his brothers Bill Cox, Ray Cox, and Jackie Cox as well as his sisters Johnny Elrod and Linda Levi.
Bobby's family and friends will always remember his warm laugh and big heart. He was a generous man who would help anyone who needed him. He had a love of life and would always find a way to make those around him smile. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends and leaves behind a legacy of generosity and laughter.
