THANKYOU BOBBY, FOR EVERYTHING

For Bobby...

When I was a kid, I always
played you while my partner
played Spatzky.

WEEP NOT FOR ME

Do not weep for me when I no longer dwell among the wonders of the earth; for my larger self is free, and my soul rejoices on the other side of pain...on the other side of darkness.

Do not weep for me, for I am a ray of sunshine that touches your skin, a tropical breeze upon your face, the hush of joy within your heart and the innocence of babes in mothers arms.

I am the hope in a darkened night. And, in your hour of need, I will be there to comfort you. I will share your tears, your joys, your fears, your disappointments and your triumphs.

Do not weep for me, for I am cradled
in the arms of God. I walk with the angels, and hear the music beyond the stars.

Do not weep for me, for I am within you;
I am peace, love, I am a soft wind that caresses the flowers. I am the calm that follows a raging storm. I am an autumns leaf that floats among the garden of God, and I am pure white snow that softly falls upon your hand.

Do not weep for me, for I shall never die, as long as you remember me...
with a smile and a sigh.

I'll never forget how hypnotized we were watching host Shelby Lyman on PBS, shifting those flat chess pieces on a simple wall board whenever a new move came in from Iceland. No fancy sets, no music, no footlights, and lots of long, long delays. Only a chess GOD could create such an atmosphere of intensity, suspsense and passion. Thank you, Bobby Fischer, for inspiring me and so many others to learn and love the game. Keep playing in heaven.

Sorry for your great loss, please know that Bobby is now asleep as Daniel 12:2 shows, when you have a moment, please read the wonderful hope that lies ahead. The dead are asleep. "Many that are alseep in the dust of the ground will wake up." Is that not comforting? The bible gives real hope for our loved one. Act 24:15 also supports Daniel. There will be a resurrection of the just and unjust.
May God's word bring you and your family comfort in this time of great loss.

The Fisher Family,

I am sure your hearts are filled with wonderful memories of Mr. Fischer. It was said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the father except through me." I hope these words will bring your family a measure of comfort.

I will always remember as a little boy running to get the morning paper to see the latest moves when you played Spassky in 1972.It inspired me to play myself. I loved the movie and when I felt down I watched it over and over.

Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.
