Bobby Haynes Obituary

Bobby Dean Haynes, 89, of Marion, passed away at 2:47 am on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at Marion Health. He was born in Grays Knob, Kentucky, on Thursday, August 6, 1936, to Fayette and Ruby (Helton) Haynes. He married Tressa E. Haynes and she preceded him in death on December 9, 2016.
Bobby worked as a machine attendent for 38 years with RCA/Thompson Consumer Electronics. Bobby loved to play the guitar, harmonica, and sing. He loved to entertain his family with his musical talent. He also enjoyed riding his bicycle, cooking, baking and watching movies. More than anything, Bobby loved his growing family and spending time with them at gatherings throughout the years.
Bobby is survived by the mother of his children, Betty T. Haynes of Marion; daughters, Suzanne T. (Roy) McKinney of Nineveh and Danell (Phil) Crain of Marion; grandchildren, Stasha L. (Todd Richardson) Haynes, Hyacinth Mason, Colleen (Jeremy Reese) McKinney, Therese (Kenneth) Cheatham, Keith W. (Kylie) Holmes, Alexis L. (Nathan Moss) Mahan, Trey (Hannah) Mahan, Miranda (Austin) Weaver, and Kayla Crain; 18 great-grandchildren plus one on the way; 3 great-great-grandchildren; Sisters, Betty Hill and Carolyn (Bruce) Foster; plus several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to his loving wife Tressa, he was preceded in death by his father, Fayette M. Haynes; mother, Ruby G. Haynes; sons, Ronnie R Haynes, Gary Wayne Haynes, and Bobby D. Haynes, II; grandchild, Bobby D. Haynes, III; 6 brothers; and 4 sisters.
The family will host a private celebration of Bobby's life at a later date.
Arrangements are entrusted to Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
