Bobby Henry was called home by the Lord at Riverbend Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Monday, February 16, 2026, at the age of 70. He was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. “Bothy, “as he was affectionately known to family and friends, was a graduate of L. B. Landry High School. He was a vibrant, loving and compassionate person, He shared an unconditional love for his family and friends. Bobby never met a stranger, because once introduced to someone, he quickly made them feel like they were longtime friends. Beloved son of Marion Varnado and the late Arthur Matthew. Loving brother of Lawrence (Thelma) Henry, Ricky and Craig Lambert, Desiree (Andre) Lewis, Sharon (Chanc) Brooks, Donna (Ronald) Hodges, Tyra (Lionel) McDonald, Samantha (Kevin) Barker, and the late Janice Ross and Gail Shannon. Also cherishing his memories are a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, members of Asbury United Methodist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Asbury United Methodist Church, 2725 Ernest Street, New Orleans, LA on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the church.
