Bobby Ingram Obituary

Published by Legacy on Feb. 25, 2026.
Bobby Joe Ingram
August 12, 1936 – January 24, 2026

Our beloved father, Bobby Joe "Bob" Ingram, passed away in the early morning hours of January 24, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's disease.

Bob was born in rural Polk County, Missouri, to Dortha and Joe Ingram. He grew up attending both one-room country schoolhouses and traditional city schools, experiences that shaped his strong work ethic and grounded values.

In 1957, Bob married "the girl down the street," Marilyn Sue Latham. They began their married life in a small trailer near Bob's college campus, then known as the Missouri School of Mines. Bob and Sue shared sixty wonderful years of marriage.

While attending college, Bob played football for the Miners and participated in Army ROTC. He later served briefly on full-time active duty and completed ten years in the Army Reserves, leaving with the rank of Captain. Bob earned his degree in Chemical Engineering in May 1959.

Shortly after graduation, Bob and Sue, along with their newborn child, moved to Borger, Texas, where Bob began his career with Phillips Petroleum Company. Over the course of his forty-year career, Phillips took Bob and his family to Borger, Texas; Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Houston, Texas; and Lafayette, Louisiana.

Outside of work, Bob generously gave his time to youth sports. In Houston, he coached and managed his son's baseball teams and was instrumental in the early development of the Westbury Soccer League, serving as a dedicated coach to many young athletes. After his children were grown, Bob devoted more time to golf. He not only played in numerous tournaments but also helped organize them-and he proudly displayed his hole-in-one ball and tee in his office.

Above all else, Bob was a good and honest man.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Marilyn; two infant siblings; his wife, Sue; and his granddaughter, Lauren Winkler. He is survived by his children, Teresa Winkler (Mitchell), Kimberly Skinner (Gary), and Mark Ingram (Cindy); his grandchildren, Lee Winkler (Samantha), Bryan Skinner (Amy), Joseph Skinner, Brett Skinner, Kristi Ingram, Kacie Ingram, and Russell Ingram; and his great-grandchildren, Carson and Layla Winkler, Chloe, Colton, Samuel, Charles, Jamie, and Joseph Skinner.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Belmont Village for the compassionate care provided to Bob over the past six years, with special thanks to Nancy Thomas and Tricia Thomas.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested any donations be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation, Parkinson's Foundation, and/or St. Jude Children's Hospital foundation.

A Celebration of Life will be held February 27, 2026, at Belmont Village Hunters Creek Assisted Living from 3:00 – 5:00 pm. A graveside service is scheduled for March 28 th, 2026, at Mt. Gilead Cemetery, Bolivar, Missouri at 11:00 a.m.
