Mr. Robert Jones, who better known as Bobby, age 87, of Castilian Springs, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2023, in White House, Tennessee.
He was born on July 26, 1936, in Thompson Station, Tennessee, to his parents Fred and Ruby Jones. Bobby did several jobs for work; he served in the United States Army, laid flooring for many years, was an auctioneer, and he was also a vendor in the Parkland Flea Market, in Lebanon, for 22 years. Bobby was married to Elsie Jones, for 42 years and was a father to seven, grandfather to 13 and had numerous great grandchildren. Bobby was a man of faith, and was Baptized on March 11, 1990, at Cofer’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, in Nashville, Tennessee. In his personal time, he was known to enjoy fishing, and was a fan of watching old western movies-especially John Wayne. Bobby was also an excellent bowler; he competed on a bowling team for over 5 years and even scored a perfect score of 300 twice. He will be dearly missed.
“Bobby,” Robert Walter Jones, is survived by his loving wife, Elsie (Lamb) Jones; daughters, Lisa Renee Woods (Randy), Tresa Jane Overstreet (Fred), and Dena Renee Jones; son, Timothy Wayne Davis (Michelle); sisters, Elaine Malone, Donna Oliver, and Barbara Jones; 13 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Douglas Jones; mother, Ruby Mildred (Byrd) Jones; sons, Jeffery Scott Jones and John Daniel Davis; daughter, Wendy Michelle Scott; sister, Marie Hall; and brothers, Raymond Jones, and Fred Jones.
Visitation will be held at Crestview Funeral Home, on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, 3:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M., and again on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, from 9:00 A.M., until 1:00 P.M.
The funeral service of Mr. Bobby Jones, will take place at Crestview Funeral Home, on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at 1:00 P.M., officiated by Timmy Davis.
Burial will immediately follow funeral services in Sumner Memorial Gardens, in Gallatin, Tennessee.
