Bobby Ray Lemay, 75, of Mount Pleasant, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2024, at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, Tennessee. Born on December 20, 1948, in Mount Pleasant, he was the son of the late Johnny W. Lemay and Martha Pierce Lemay.
Bobby was a devoted family man who centered his life around the people he loved. Whether he was fishing by the riverbank, hunting in the woods, or working with his hands as a repairman, he always found joy in sharing these moments with his family. A true jack of all trades, Bobby was known for his resourcefulness, his knack for fixing things, and his willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He was also a long time member of Mt. Zion Church of Christ.
Bobby is survived by his loving wife, Betty Lemay; his children, Susan (Chris) Pennington and Crystal (William) Stokes; grandchildren, Anthony Lovett, Karissa Stokes, Brady Stokes, and Eric Pennington; and great-grandchildren, Camron, Gabriel, Blake, Niki, and Emma. He is also survived by his siblings, Edna Church, John Lemay, Jr., William Lemay and Claude Lemay.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Martha Lemay; his daughter, Tiffany Lemay; and his sisters, Gladys, Bonnie, and Ida Bell.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Lovett, Camron Lovett, Gabriel Lovett, Karissa Stokes, Brady Stokes, and Eric Pennington.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee. A graveside service will be held Thursday, December 12, 2024 at Watts Hill Cemetery at 1:00 PM.
