Bobby Lee McClendon, 78, of Fort Worth, passed away on December 16, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on November 14, 1946, in Dallas, Bobby was the eldest son of Robert and Dorothy McClendon.
A devoted father, grandfather, and friend, Bobby was known for his warmth and humor, love for Jesus, and gardening, and nature. He worked as a carpenter and wood worker most of his life, and in his spare time, he would be found fishing on Lake Crockett and spending time with family. He was also a devoted worship leader in church, providing healing and comfort to many.
Bobby is survived by his daughters, Jennifer McClendon, Stephanie (Britain) Rogers, and Elizabeth (Westley) Huffman and his grandchildren Dakota and Oz Rogers and Madalynn and Preston Huffman. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 51 years, Kathleen Ann McClendon.
A celebration of life will be held on January 18, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Lucas Funeral Home in Keller, TX, with a reception to follow.
Bobby will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew him.
