Bobby Gene McMahan Winterville - Mr. Bobby Gene McMahan, 89, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2025.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at 1:30 PM at Falkland Presbyterian Church, 5943 S Main St, Falkland, NC 27827. A visitation will be held prior from 12:15-1:15 PM at the church. Burial will follow the service at the Falkland Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Mr. Bobby was born in Forsyth County, and was raised most of his life in High Point, NC. At the age of 17, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps. Following his military service, he moved to Washington DC where he served 4 years on the Metropolitan Police Department. He then continued service in his home state of North Carolina, where he worked at the UNCG Police Department before retiring in 1992. After retiring, he became a school bus driver for the Guilford County School System before eventually retiring for the second time

Bobby was a regular attendant of Calvary Temple Pentecostal Holiness Church in Winterville, NC. He was a longtime sports fan, enjoying Carolina football and basketball games among his family & friends. He was also a Mason. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great- grandfather. He will be dearly missed.

Bobby was predeceased in death by his parents, Cloner & Nell McMahan; and brothers, Martin & Bill McMahan.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Frances Edwards McMahan; daughter, Joni Whaley and husband Mike of High Point, NC; sons, John McMahan of Chicago, IL, and Eric McMahan of High Point, NC; sister Judy Beaman; and 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
