Bobby Shank Obituary

He was born on May 23, 1937 and was a son of the late Roy Franklin Shank and Floey Edna (McFarland) Shank.
Bobby retired from DuPont. Following his retirement, he drove a bus for Rockingham County Schools for 20 years. Bobby was a member of Montezuma Church of the Brethren. Bobby loved tractors, antique engines and building barns for toy shows.
Bobby was united in marriage on March 9, 1957 to Elaine (Kiser) Shank.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Deborah Keagy & husband Melvin, and Kevin Shank & wife Grace; six grandchildren, Jill Keister, Bryan Keagy, Daniel Keagy, Adam Shank, Nathan Shank, and Bethany Myers; 14 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Beaver Creek Cemetery with Pastor Steve Spire officiating.

I just learned of Bobby´s passing when I read it in the newspaper today, November 3rd. I want to extend my sympathy to Elaine and the rest of the family. I have not talked with Bobby or Elaine for several years. But while I was going to EMS and attending Montezuma COB, they were very kind to me and my family and supportive of my education( This was in the early 1980´s). Bobby taught Sunday School in those years and was a very good teacher. I believe he had a strong Christian faith. His and Elaine´s long and solid marriage has been an inspiration to us all (65+ years). It is my prayer that the family will feel our Lord´s comforting and loving Presence during this time of sorrow. As a disciple of the Lord Jesus, our loved one, we believe, has entered God´s Presence. This is the assurance that all Believers have according to the Holy Scripture- "absent from the body and present with the Lord" (2 Cor.5:8). With sadness but with gladness for an exemplary life.
