Mr. Bobby Ray Thompson

Mr. Bobby Ray Thompson, age 56, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Tuesday evening, August 14, 2012 at his home following a sudden illness. Bobby was born April 13, 1956 in Dalton, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles "Red" Thompson, his grandparents, Cliff and Maybell Collins, uncles, Wilburn Collins, J.C. Collins and an aunt, Reva Godfrey. Bobby was a caring person who took care of his grandmother, Maybell Collins until her passing. He continued to help take care of family and anyone else that needed his help. He is survived by his mother, Shirley McKinney; sister, Sheila Dyer both of Gainesville, GA; brother, Greg Thompson; step-mother, Louise Childers; aunts and uncles, Annette and Lewis Talley all of Dalton, GA, Clayton and Debbie Collins, Claudie Collins, Houston and Brenda Collins all of Tunnel Hill, GA; a number of nieces, nephews, and his best friend, Carl Evett. Bobby was a wonderful son, brother, nephew, uncle and friend. He will be missed by all his family and friends. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
