Mr. Bobby Lee Widenhouse, 85, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2023 in his home surrounded by family. He was born April 15, 1938 in Concord, NC to the late Zebulon Vance Widenhouse and Myrtle Irene Black Widenhouse. He was preceded in death by his brothers, James Cook, Vance Widenhouse, Billy Joe Widenhouse, and his sisters, Beulah Smith, Sara Taylor, and Susie Surratt.

Bobby Retired from Package Products where he was a Commercial Printer Supervisor at the time of his retirement. After retiring, he drove cars for Morrison Motors. Bobby was a charter member of the Georgeville VFD and was honored with the Fireman of the year award in 1973. He enjoyed landscaping in his yard and doing various woodworking projects, especially building very unique birdhouses that he proudly gave to family and friends. Bobby was always lending a helping hand to family, friends and neighbors and he will be greatly missed.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Gail Widenhouse of the home, children Alan (Marcella) Widenhouse of Concord, Eric (Cheryl) Widenhouse of Mt. Pleasant, Amy (Skip) Spaulding of Georgeville, and their mother, Nancy G. Widenhouse of Georgeville; grandchildren, Stephanie (David) DeSerio, Mason (Kylie) Widenhouse, Jeremy (Hannah) Spaulding, Luke (Candace) Widenhouse, Chance Spaulding, and six great-grandsons.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 30 from 2 to 3 p.m., with the funeral following at 3 p.m., in the chapel of Wilkinson Funeral Home.

Graveside service will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
