Bonita Remer Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Peterson Chapel – Buffalo on Jan. 24, 2026.
Bonita "Bonnie" Remer passed away on January 22, 2026. She was born on August 14, 1962, in Buffalo, Minnesota, to Walter and Mary Ann (Berrum) Remer.

Bonnie attended Howard Lake High School and grew up helping on her family's farm, which fostered her lifelong love of country living. Her favorite memory on the farm was making hay with her Dad. Although the work was long and hard, their shared time together and great conversations made it fun for her. She found joy in the simple, meaningful things-tending to her garden, listening to music, and spending time doing what she loved most: creating with her hands.

An avid knitter and crocheter, Bonnie was rarely without yarn or fabric nearby. She made many blankets for friends and family, often gifting them to celebrate new babies and special milestones. She also enjoyed other crafts, like making bracelets and coloring pictures. Each piece she made was a reflection of her generosity and thoughtful heart.

Bonnie was easygoing, kind, and a joy to be around. She got along with nearly everyone she met and had a caring nature that made people feel comfortable. Her gentle presence and warm heart will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Preceded in death by mother, Mary Ann Remer; brothers, Terrence Remer and Stevie Remer; sister, Renae Remer.

Survived by her father, Walter Remer, sisters, Pauline Conrad, Laureen Karnes, and Mary Lou Pittmen; brothers, Patrick Remer, Theodore Remer, and Matthew Remer.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at 11:00 AM with visitation one hour prior at The Peterson Chapel, 119 Central Avenue, Buffalo, MN.
